The species Jequitiba is soft and easy to work, its mechanical properties are rather low and it is not a high resistance wood. From the jungles of South America, it's known for its low resistance to moisture and pest attack, the main use is the production of wood veneers that allow to create pleasant effects in wood paneling and interior doors, as well as preparation of some wooden moldings in the styles that the architecture or the design request.
